About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and strategic Business Development Manager to join our Asset Reliability sales team. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying and developing new business opportunities, building long-term customer relationships, and contributing to the wider commercial growth strategy.
This position involves researching target sectors, engaging with prospective clients, and presenting tailored service solutions to support their asset reliability needs.
Key Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and approach new customers in line with strategic business goals

Conduct on-site visits to present service offerings and assess client requirements

Oversee the setup of new customer accounts and ensure accurate documentation

Contribute to business strategy and market positioning by leveraging industry knowledge

Monitor developments in relevant industries, including established firms and start-ups

Collaborate internally to support cross-selling across service departments

Attend industry events, conferences, and webinars to stay informed on market trends and competitor activity
What You’ll Bring

Ideally, prior experience in reliability-based services, either in sales or engineering (training will be provided if not)

Strong communication, sales, and presentation skills

Background in the Marine or Manufacturing sectors is a plus

Proven track record of managing bids, tenders, and contract negotiations

A relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills

Highly organised with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet targets

Excellent attention to detail, particularly when preparing proposals and using CRM systems (MS Dynamics experience is advantageous)

Base salary starting from £40,000 (OTE from £47,900)
