CLASS 1 DRIVER

THURSDAY - SUNDAY: 12.00PM START TIMES

£14.80 - £21.15 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the Bredbury, Stockport.

Rates of Pay

• Basic: £14.80 per hour


• Sunday : £21.15 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• RDC Deliveries no handball


• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations


• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections


• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly


• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations


• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers


• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management


• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence


• Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles


• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes


• Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card


• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English


• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills


• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations


• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles


• Previous experience with multi drop deliveries

Training

• Driver's Assessment will have to be completed


• After successful Assessment, there will be a two-day paid induction


• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
