Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive primary school based in Denton. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for someone passionate about helping children overcome behavioural and emotional barriers to learning.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
- Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies.
- Build positive relationships to support emotional regulation and social development.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
- Track progress and contribute to personalised intervention plans.
- Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar pastoral/SEN support role.
- Strong understanding of SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs and behaviour management techniques.
- A calm, empathetic, and patient approach with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with pupils and staff.
- Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management, Team Teach, or similar (desirable but not essential).
- Competitive daily rates and a dedicated consultant for ongoing support.
