Non-Executive Director – Media SME - Manchester
Harmonic Executive are delighted to partner on an exclusive basis with a Manchester centric media SME, looking to appoint an experienced Non-Executive Director who support them through an exciting growth phase.
The business is a sub-one million revenue media business based in Manchester, with an exceptionally strong brand presence and a vibrant, collaborative culture.
The Opportunity
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a high-potential creative business, working closely with the Founder and senior team to challenge, support, and refine strategic growth plans—bringing governance, structure and insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team, providing high-level strategic counsel.
- Help define and pressure-test the company’s growth strategy, including new business models, partnerships, and funding routes.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
- Champion company culture and ensure it scales sustainably with the business.
- Serve as an external ambassador when needed, helping to open doors and elevate the brand.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Chair, NED, or senior executive in a growing media, hospitality or creative focused SME, preferably one which sold advertising into events
- Strong track record in scaling businesses
- Strategic thinker with financial and commercial acumen.
- Culturally aligned: down-to-earth, collaborative, and values-driven.
Commitment
- One-two days per month initially
