Senior Estimator / Estimator
Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 + Package
We are working with a well-established construction company with a strong track record in delivering large-scale residential and student accommodation projects across the North. With multiple secured schemes ranging from £25 million to £80 million, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator / Estimator to join their North West Team
About the Role:
The Estimator will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for major new-build developments. You'll work closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams to support the successful bidding and financial planning of upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes
- Assess risks, value opportunities, and contribute to bid strategy
- Work collaboratively with internal teams throughout the tender process
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor environment
- Background in large residential, mixed-use, or student accommodation projects
- Comfortable working on schemes valued up to £80 million
- Strong knowledge of UK construction processes and estimating tools
- Able to manage workload across multiple projects and meet deadlines
