MEP Project Manager – Data Centre

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of a large-scale data centre project. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of complex MEP systems, coordination across multiple disciplines, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of MEP packages, ensuring seamless integration with overall construction.


• Drive design coordination, installation, and commissioning of high-spec mechanical and electrical systems.


• Ensure all works meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.


• Implement and monitor best practices in HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) to ensure a secure working environment.


• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain smooth project flow.


• Monitor financials, optimise procurement, and track variations to keep the project within budget.


• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring key milestones are met.


• Oversee testing, commissioning, and final handover to the client with full documentation.

Key Requirements

• Proven track record in MEP project management within data centres, large-scale commercial, or high-tech industrial projects.


• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, cooling systems, BMS, fire safety, and critical power systems.


• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience).


• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, drive performance, and resolve challenges proactively.


• Understanding of contracts, procurement, and financial management within construction projects.


• Familiarity with BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, or other relevant tools is a plus.
