The Role


The Senior Product Manager role will sit in the Product team and will report into the Head of Product and will work closely with the Transformation team, who manage all corporate projects.


The role will be responsible for driving product vision and lifecycle management for TalkTalk Business, ensuring customer value and business success. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and champion product roadmaps aligned with strategic objectives.


Responsibilities



  • Lead the execution of the TTBD product strategy from product innovation to in-life management.

  • Communicate and advocate for the vision, strategy, and roadmap, incorporating all feedback and stakeholder input.

  • Define and deliver innovative and disruptive services that capture a proportionate market share for the product portfolio.

  • Drive the product set for areas such as Cloud, Security, and Software Licensing across the TalkTalk Business portfolio, focusing on revenue growth.

  • Ensure roadmaps are defined to maximise the achievement of the business plan.

  • Be accountable for new product development within the portfolio.

  • Analyse market conditions, stay up to date with industry trends, and assess the competitive landscape.

  • Create and deliver technology whitepapers and strategy documents.

  • Ensure appropriate lifecycle management of all products, including decommissioning legacy products, initiating improvements, or developing new products as needed.

  • Gather consensus on product priorities and present a unified interface to the technology business for delivery.

  • Support the budget and forecasting process.

  • Define KPI reporting for the portfolio.

  • Assess continuous improvement activities for the portfolio.

  • Understand our customers and their needs from first contact through to in-life.


Skills and experience we are looking for



  • Proven experience in Product Management.

  • Capacity to engage and drive virtual cross-functional teams collaboratively.

  • Awareness of emerging trends, customer needs, and drivers of customer experience.

  • Resilience and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to drive innovation to ensure TalkTalk Business is differentiated in the market.

  • Essential telecommunication experience with a strong commercial business understanding.

  • Ability to support others by sharing technical knowledge and providing advice.

  • Ability to manage and plan workload to meet deadlines, including handling conflicting and changing priorities.

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues.

  • Willingness to adapt to new systems, processes, or changes in a dynamic environment.

  • Engages with others constructively, offering help when needed and contributing to a positive team culture.


How you will work

Our aim is for our full-time team to spend 3 days a week at our HQ in Soapworks, Salford Quays with the remaining days offering the option to work from home.
