Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer - #1665789

FINTEC recruit is supporting recruitment for a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer. This is a permanent role with salary up to circa £60,000 plus benefits/contributory pension etc. Working within the Greater Manchester region working on infrastructure and waste water projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce geotechnical & civil engineering design deliverables, including calculations, reports & drawings
• Lead preparation of ground investigations (GI) specifications, interpretive reports & design documentation
• Ensure designs comply with technical standards, industry regulations & internal quality processes
• Participate in design reviews & Hazop/Hazid meeting etc
• Undertake estimates for projects and monitor delivery progress
• Manage and record all design changes
• Mentor and direct more junior staff

Skills and Experience required for the Geotechnical Design Engineer role:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in geotechnical and/or civil engineering design.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, site investigations, and reporting.
• HND or Degree-qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Proficient in engineering software and general IT tools.
• Registered with a professional organisation and actively working towards Chartership.
• Previous experience in regulated infrastructure environments (e.g., rail, utilities, highways, nuclear, oil & gas).
