Your new companyHays Education has recently seen an increased need for local Special Educational Needs Teachers in Schools across Greater Manchester for day-to-day and long-term supply with the potential for permanent contracts. Here at Hays, we work with a number of schools across Salford, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Tameside, Trafford, and Stockport, with all areas in between! This means as a teacher working through Hays, you will have local work in your local area, covering schools that only you want to work in. We are currently recruiting on behalf of an Alternative Provision School in Manchester for students aged 11-18 who have been excluded from mainstream education due to challenging behaviour. The students have a background of SEMH needs, and the school is looking for passionate individuals who are confident in building trusting and positive relationships with students to support their academic progression and personal development.
Your new roleWe are currently recruiting for a full-time Special Educational Needs Teacher to join the team ASAP on a temporary - permanent basis. We are looking for exceptional people who thrive on working in challenging settings to work with the schools' exceptional pupils every day. We are seeking people who thrive on working in a challenging but immensely rewarding environment, who are passionate about supporting the development of social, life and independence skills and who truly want to make a difference in the lives of young people. The appointed person will be expected to make a real and positive impact on the lives of children who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities that make every day varied and interesting. You will be able to successfully build trusting student relationships and motivate and encourage student(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with living and learning tasks as appropriate.
What you'll need to succeedThe appointed candidate will be a confident teacher with Qualified Teacher Status. Hays welcomes more experienced teachers as well as ECTs who are confident working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and/or challenging behaviour.
