Senior Structural Engineer

I'm working with a Manchester based client who is looking to take on a Principal/Senior Structural Engineer.

Location: Manchester

Sector: Structural Engineering - Residential/Commercial/Building/Design

Salary: Competitive, DOE (Inside/Outside IR35 negotiable)

Start Date: ASAP

FULL TIME/ PERMANENT

Responsibilities & Role:

-Inspect and assess domestic, commercial, industrial and historic buildings.

-Apply a sound knowledge of design principles to help you to diagnose the cause of defects before designing a solution and then managing the repair process.

-Prepare structural calculations and drawings. Prepare contract document, either with or without the assistance of a QS.

-Leadership, mentoring and motivation to junior engineers.

Requirements:

-Necessary knowledge and experience to independently undertake competent appraisals of a diverse range of structures including buildings of all types to assess their structural condition and continued stability.

Desirable:

-Chartership (CEng) or working towards it.
