Our Tax experts are doing more than just advising individuals and businesses, they make a meaningful difference to society, by helping to solve some of the biggest challenges facing our country. The scale and breadth of tax implications is so wide-reaching, and at the same time, new regulations mean that this landscape is becoming increasingly complex. Our tax specialists work alongside clients to help them understand the intricacies of tax across the globe - from energy sector companies, to online food businesses, banks and high-net worth individuals. They support clients in complying with relevant regulations so they can operate responsibly, sustainably and ethically.
This programme is aimed primarily at students of Black heritage seeking an insight into a career in Tax. By Black heritage, we mean students who might identify as Black, African, Caribbean, Black British or Mixed/Multiple ethnic groups: White and Black Caribbean, White and Black African.

During your Insight experience, you'll have the chance to meet people from our Tax teams who make KPMG an inspiring place to work and explore our variety of career opportunities available. Over three days you'll network with our colleagues, learn more about what we do and the meaningful difference we make to businesses and the communities we serve.
The programme will be offered to students who are in their first year of study on a three year programme or in their second year of study on a four year programme. Whilst on the programme, you'll have the opportunity to take an assessment, and if successful, you could secure a position on one of our 2025 Tax vacation programmes, which may lead to a potential 2026 graduate offer.

Generally, you'll be expected to demonstrate the following grades (*or equivalents), to show that you're able to successfully study for professional qualifications. If you are a few grades or points short, we would still encourage you to apply, as your application will be reviewed together with your performance in our assessments. You'll also have the opportunity to provide additional information for us to assess your application and potential in the context of your socio-economic background and/or any extenuating circumstances, which may have a positive uplift on your academic achievements through contextual recruitment. - 5 GCSEs* at A* - C or at 4 - 9 (inc. English Language and Maths at Grade B or 5), or for Scotland 5 National 5 qualifications at Grades A - C (inc. English Language and Maths at Grade B or equivalent)
- 120 UCAS points* from your 'top' 3 grades, excluding General Studies under the 2017 tariff point system at A Level (300 UCAS points pre-2017) or at Higher/Advanced Higher Level for Scotland.
- On track to achieve a 2:1 undergraduate degree in any discipline.
The programme will be offered to students who are in their first year of study. Whilst on the programme, you'll have the opportunity to take an assessment, and if successful, you could secure a position on one of our 2025 Tax vacation programmes, which may lead to a potential 2026 graduate offer.

As the insight programme is not that long, the focus for you will be to ensure every second counts. It's an opportunity to learn new skills, enhance your CV, learn about the world of work and, importantly, get your foot in the door of one of the leading professional services firms. This is a 3-day paid Insight programme and will be run in 2024 on 16th - 18th April and 9th - 11th July inclusive. You will be paid a salary equivalent to the living wage salary.
