About the role
Mind Retail are a network of over 160 shops across England and Wales, generating a net income of around £18 million per year. As Estates Surveyor, you'll support our Head of Property in managing and growing our property portfolio, in line with Mind Retail's strategic growth ambitions. You'll play a key role in negotiating the best terms for the acquisition of new sites, as well as liaising with our landlords on rent reviews, lease renewals, restructure and break options. You'll also assist with our shop refurbishment programme, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
You'll ensure our shops are kept in tip-top shape for our people & customers through effective management of our maintenance contract; supporting our field and shop teams in dealing with contractors and providing advice to them regarding repairs.
We're looking for someone who has experience in managing a large property portfolio and has excellent working knowledge of maintenance and repairs. We're also looking for someone who is great at stakeholder management, can communicate well at all levels and who lives and breathes our values of:
