Associate Director (Fire Engineering)

£100,000 - £120,000 + Bonus + Progression to Director + Leadership Ownership + Bespoke Training/CPD

Are you an experienced Fire Engineer looking for a role where you can genuinely lead projects, mentor a growing team and take real ownership as the business expands across the UK?

On offer is a rare opportunity to step into a senior position where you will help drive performance for a major regional team, lead high-value fire engineering work and have a clear route to Director as the leadership structure evolves.

You will be joining a specialist consultancy known for strong values and technical quality, with a clear growth plan including new UK offices. As a result of continued expansion, they are looking to add an Associate-level leader to strengthen the Manchester operation.

In this role you will lead fire engineering projects end-to-end: reviewing technical work, signing off reports, mentoring junior engineers, monitoring project finances, supporting bids, and managing resourcing across your portfolio. You will work in a flexible, predominantly office-based hybrid pattern.

This role would suit an Associate-level Fire Engineer looking to take ownership, develop others, and progress into a Director-level position in a growing specialist business.

The Role:

• Lead and deliver fire engineering projects, including technical review and report sign-off
• Mentor and develop junior engineers while managing resourcing across projects
• Support bids and financially monitor projects to ensure strong delivery performance
• Flexible hours, predominantly office-based hybrid working in Manchester

The Person:

• Fire engineering background with experience delivering fire engineering projects
• Chartered (CEng) with a relevant STEM degree
• Commercial awareness: comfortable with bid support and financial monitoring of work
• Sponsorship Available
