Looking for more than just another claims role?

Are you confident on the phone, passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and motivated by earning potential?

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy helping people when they need it most, this could be the opportunity for you.

Our client is one of the UK's leading accident management companies, supporting thousands of motorists every year following road traffic accidents. Due to continued growth, they're looking for confident, customer focused First Notification of Loss (FNOL) Claims Handlers to join their expanding Manchester team.

The Role

As an FNOL Claims Handler, you'll be the first point of contact for customers following a road traffic accident.

You'll take ownership of the initial conversation, providing reassurance and support while gathering accurate information about the incident. You'll explain the claims process clearly; identify the most appropriate next steps and make sure every customer receives an outstanding experience from their very first call.

Working closely with internal teams, you'll help ensure claims progress efficiently while identifying opportunities to provide the right solutions for each customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound First Notification of Loss (FNOL) calls from customers following road traffic accidents.
  • Gather accurate and detailed information about the incident and record all relevant claim details.
  • Assess liability and determine the appropriate next steps in line with company procedures.
  • Explain the claims process clearly, confidently and professionally.
  • Arrange appropriate accident management services, including vehicle recovery, repairs and replacement vehicles.
  • Keep customers informed and supported throughout the early stages of their claim.
  • Liaise effectively with internal teams and service providers to ensure claims progress smoothly.
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service while working towards individual performance and commission targets.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise customer outcomes and contribute to the overall success of the team.

About You

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and can remain calm, professional and reassuring when dealing with customers who may have just experienced a stressful event.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in FNOL, motor claims, insurance, accident management or a similar customer-focused role.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • A calm, empathetic and professional telephone manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to build rapport quickly and take ownership of customer interactions.
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • A positive, resilient attitude and a genuine desire to succeed.
  • The motivation to maximise your earnings through strong individual performance.

What's on Offer?

In addition to a competitive salary and uncapped monthly commission, you'll receive:

  • £28,750.02 basic salary
  • Uncapped monthly commission
  • Realistic OTE of £45,000
  • Top performers earning up to £70,000
  • 33 days' holiday, including public holidays
  • Your birthday off
  • A day off for your child's first day at school
  • Company pension
  • Discounts on gym memberships, shopping, holidays and national retailers
  • Dress-down Fridays
  • Regular team-building activities and social events
