Field Liability Adjuster, Construction & Complex Property - #2186249

Our client, a specialist independent loss adjusting practice, is looking for an experienced Field Liability Adjuster to join their Casualty team. They’re particularly keen to speak with adjusters who handle complex property and construction liability claims.

You’ll manage a mixed field portfolio under licensed authority, investigating on site and taking claims from first notification through to settlement. It’s a role for an adjuster who enjoys technical, contract-heavy claims where the detail really matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a field portfolio of construction, contractors and complex property liability claims
• Carry out site investigations, inspections and witness interviews
• Handle claims cradle to grave under licensed authority, plus investigation-only instructions
• Analyse contracts, including model and express conditions, to establish liability and contribution
• Set and review reserves and report to insurers in line with SLAs
• Work towards early dispute resolution and manage litigated claims with panel solicitors

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be an experienced liability adjuster with a strong technical grasp of construction and property disputes.

• Proven field liability adjusting experience, ideally with construction or complex property claims
• Good knowledge of case, common and statute law
• Understanding of JCT, NEC and other model and express contract conditions
• Knowledge of CPR and the Construction & Engineering Disputes protocol
• Excellent report writing
• ACII and/or ACILA preferred, or working towards them
• Full UK driving licence
