Subsidence Claims Technician - #2186246

Our client, a well-established UK loss adjusting firm, is looking for a Subsidence Claims Technician to join their growing Subsidence team. You’ll provide claims handling support to a team of experienced adjusters and engineers across a varied caseload of subsidence and ground movement claims.

This role offers real development within subsidence. It would suit someone with some property or subsidence claims experience who wants to build their technical knowledge. It would also suit a strong claims administrator ready for their next step.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide claims handling and administrative support to subsidence adjusters and engineers
• Arrange site investigations, including trial pits, boreholes, drainage CCTV surveys and soil and root testing
• Arrange and track level and crack monitoring, chasing results and updating files
• Liaise with arboricultural consultants, structural engineers, drainage contractors and site investigation firms
• Contact local authorities and third-party tree owners about vegetation management and recoveries
• Keep insurers and policyholders updated on claim progress
• Help manage claim diaries and issue file reviews
• Support the coordination of repairs, including underpinning, drainage and superstructure works
• Handle a small caseload of your own with mentoring, as your skills develop

What We’re Looking For

Subsidence experience would be a real plus, but a strong claims or property background and a willingness to learn matter just as much.

• Claims experience gained in insurance or loss adjusting, ideally property or subsidence
• Some awareness of subsidence causes, investigations and repair methods would be helpful
• Logical and organised, with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident with technology, with full training provided
• Able to manage competing priorities in busy periods
• Willing to work towards CII or CILA qualifications
