Join a growing residential investment and property management organisation as the Senior Infrastructure Lead, responsible for shaping and modernising the Group's infrastructure, cloud services, networks and security capabilities. Following recent growth and acquisition activity, the organisation is investing heavily in its technology landscape, providing a rare opportunity to influence infrastructure strategy, modernisation and long-term technology direction.

Description

As Senior Infrastructure Lead, you will take ownership of the organisation's infrastructure estate, including Microsoft 365, Azure, networks, security controls, cloud platforms and end-user technology services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the primary technical owner for the managed service provider (MSP) and key technology suppliers, holding them accountable
• Defining and delivering the infrastructure strategy and technology roadmap.
• Supporting wider business transformation programmes, system integrations and platform onboarding.
• Modernising multi-site networking, remote access and cloud infrastructure.
• Improving identity management, device management and endpoint security through Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Intune and Autopilot.
• Driving infrastructure resilience through effective patching, vulnerability management, disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Leading infrastructure projects from concept through to operational delivery.
• Managing risk, governance, technical documentation and stakeholder communications.

Profile

A successful 'Senior Infrastructure Lead' should have:

• Senior infrastructure, cloud or IT operations experience, leading modernisation in a Microsoft-centric, multi-site organisation.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune and Autopilot, including identity, endpoint protection and secure cloud configuration.
• Practical experience of multi-site WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi, firewalls, remote access and network resilience, with an understanding of SD-WAN or SASE.
• A track record of managing and constructively challenging outsourced MSPs and suppliers on service, design, delivery and value.
• Hands-on experience of patching, vulnerability management, monitoring, incident response and backup and disaster recovery, including proving recovery works.
• Experience in an ISO 27001-certified or similarly governed environment, with a practical grasp of risk ownership, audit evidence and control effectiveness.

Job Offer

• Permanent Senior Infrastructure Lead position based in Manchester.
• Salary of £58,500 to £71,500, dependent on the level of experience.
