Professional Indemnity & Financial Lines Adjuster - #2185644

Our client, a specialist independent loss adjusting practice, is growing its Specialist Liability division and is looking for a Professional Indemnity & Financial Lines Adjuster. You’ll handle professional negligence and financial lines claims for insurers, MGAs and brokers.

This is a technical role suited to someone who enjoys working through complex coverage and liability questions. It would suit an adjuster, insurer claims handler or legal professional with PI experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of professional indemnity and financial lines claims
• Review policy wordings and advise on coverage
• Investigate allegations of professional negligence and assess liability and quantum
• Set and review reserves and report to insurers in line with SLAs
• Work with panel solicitors and experts on complex and litigated claims
• Liaise with insureds, brokers and claimant representatives

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring PI or financial lines claims experience and a methodical, analytical approach.

• Experience handling PI, D&O or other financial lines claims at an insurer, adjuster or law firm
• Strong understanding of professional negligence law and policy coverage
• Knowledge of CPR and the Professional Negligence pre-action protocol
• Excellent written analysis and report writing
• ACII and/or ACILA preferred, or a legal background
