Junior .NET & Angular Developer | Contract | Manchester

Contract Opportunity - BPSS Eligibility Required

We are looking for a Junior .NET & Angular Developer to join a fast-paced development team delivering modern web applications and AI-enabled solutions.

Location - Manchester, UK

Working Arrangement - 4 days per week onsite in Manchester

Contract Length - 6 Months

Rate £334 per day (Inside IR35)

• Contractors must be eligible for BPSS clearance
• PAYE through Umbrella Company only

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with strong .NET and Angular experience to work on scalable web applications while gaining exposure to cutting-edge AI-enabled and agentic development practices.

You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, building robust backend services, modern front-end applications, and intelligent automated workflows using the latest development tools and technologies.

Required Skills

.NET Core / ASP.NET / C# / Web API

Angular

Desirable Skills

• SQL Server
• Database design and query optimisation
• Agentic Development experience
• AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Claude, or similar

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, Web API, and Angular
• Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end solutions using modern Angular frameworks
• Build, optimise, and maintain SQL databases, including schema design, stored procedures, and query tuning
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Leverage AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity and software delivery
• Contribute to intelligent agent-based automation and workflow solutions
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and DevOps teams
• Ensure high-quality code through testing, code reviews, and development best practices
• Participate in solution architecture and technical design discussions
• Troubleshoot issues and optimise application performance

Ideal Candidate

You will have:

• Commercial experience developing applications using .NET and Angular
• Strong understanding of full-stack development principles
• Experience working with SQL databases
• A collaborative approach and willingness to learn new technologies
• Exposure to AI-driven development tools and modern software engineering practices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
