Temporary Works Design Engineer - #2182085

About the Role

A leading UK temporary works design and equipment specialist is seeking a Design Engineer to join its in-house engineering team in the North West. You will design temporary works solutions for major UK infrastructure projects across water, energy, transport and other sectors, working directly with contractors to deliver safe, efficient designs.

Responsibilities

• Design Delivery: Produce temporary works designs, calculations and drawings for excavation support, propping and related systems.
• Client Support: Work with contractor clients to understand site constraints and develop practical solutions.
• Design Checking: Support the checking process and keep designs compliant with BS5975 and relevant standards.
• Technical Development: Build expertise across a wide range of temporary works systems and applications.

Qualifications

Qualifications: HND, BEng, BSc, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering.

Required Skills

• Design Experience: 3–5 years’ design experience.
• Temporary works design experience ideal but not essential.
• Professional Development: Working towards chartership/incorporation desirable.
