Finance Assistant - #2181942

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a well established business based in Manchester on an interim basis for an initial period of 3+ months.

This is a great opportunity for a hands on finance professional to support the day to day running of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial records and the efficient processing of transactions.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar finance role and strong attention to detail.

Manchester City Centre - Hybrid work (must be based in the North West).

• Carry out regular bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
• Support the day-to-day purchase ledger function, including processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate supplier accounts.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and investigating discrepancies and ensuring these are resolved promptly.
• Prepare and post journals to support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Support the wider finance team with accounting, reporting and general finance administration as required.
• Ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable and other transactional finance activities as required.

• At least two years' experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar finance position.
• Previous experience across transactional finance, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, expense processing and banking.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a finance team.
