At Lucion Delta-Simons, we're looking for a Senior Ecologist to join our growing team of environmental specialists. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ecologist who combines technical expertise with a pragmatic approach, enjoys mentoring others, and thrives on variety.

From protected species surveys and habitat assessments to supporting major development projects, you'll play a key role in helping our clients balance progress with environmental responsibility.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and delivering a wide range of ecological surveys and assessments.
• Producing high-quality reports including PEAs, EcIAs and protected species survey reports.
• Managing projects from initial proposal through to successful delivery.
• Providing trusted ecological advice to clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Designing practical mitigation, enhancement and biodiversity solutions.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
• Building strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
• Helping shape projects that leave a positive legacy for both people and nature.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience working within ecological consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of UK ecology, legislation and planning processes.
• Excellent report writing and project management skills.
• Confidence managing client relationships and project delivery.
• A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Membership of CIEEM (or working towards it) would be advantageous.
• Protected species licences are a bonus, but not essential.
• A full UK driving licence.
