Oculus are working with a long-established and highly regarded national law firm with offices across the North West and a particularly strong reputation within litigation and dispute resolution work.

The firm combines the stability and reputation of a well-established practice with a genuinely supportive and down-to-earth culture. Their litigation department is known for handling a broad and high-quality range of contentious matters across commercial disputes, while still offering solicitors strong levels of autonomy, client contact and progression opportunities. The team has built an excellent reputation for practical, commercially minded advice and longstanding client relationships.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Litigator into their Manchester office.

You will manage your own caseload while also supporting on more complex matters where required, including:

• Leading and managing commercial litigation matters, taking ownership of appropriate cases and supporting on complex disputes under Partner supervision
• Providing strategic, commercially focused legal advice to a diverse client base, including corporates, public bodies and regulated entities
• Taking ownership of day-to-day case management, including disclosure, interim applications, and client reporting
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, providing pragmatic commercial advice
• Contributing to business development and networking activities and the growth of the practice.

About You:

• A qualified solicitor 2+ PQE with a strong background in commercial litigation/ disputes.
• Proven ability to provide proactive case management at all stages of a dispute, including large-scale disclosure exercises and complex procedural applications
• Strong drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
• A proactive, collaborative approach with a commitment to mentoring and team development.
