Paid Media Manager - #2181697
Cedarwood Digital
Paid Media Manager – £35-38K DOE – Manchester
Hybrid/Remote | UK-Based Only | Full Time
This is not a graduate role. No recruiters please.
We're looking for an experienced Paid Media Manager to join our growing team at Cedarwood Digital.
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows their way around both Google Ads and Paid Social, enjoys managing campaigns and is confident taking ownership of client accounts.
You'll work across a varied portfolio of e-commerce and lead generation clients (B2B, B2C & DTC), managing campaigns with a range of budgets, including accounts spending up to £350,000 per month.
We're looking for someone who can manage the day-to-day delivery of campaigns while also thinking about the bigger picture. You'll be responsible for planning activity, identifying opportunities for improvement, managing client relationships and making sure campaigns are delivering against commercial objectives.
You'll also have the opportunity to support and mentor other members of the Paid Media team, sharing your experience and helping develop their skills. While this isn't a formal line management position, we're looking for someone who is comfortable providing guidance and contributing to the wider team's development.
You'll need to be analytical, commercially minded and confident working independently, but equally happy collaborating with colleagues and getting into the detail of an account.
What You'll Be Doing
Campaign Management & Optimisation
- Take ownership of PPC and Paid Social campaigns across multiple client accounts, covering Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn.
- Plan, build and optimise Google Ads campaigns, including Search, Shopping and Performance Max, alongside Paid Social campaigns across Meta and LinkedIn.
- Manage campaign budgets, bidding strategies, audience targeting and account structures to improve performance and maximise results.
- Regularly review campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive growth.
- Develop and run tests across ad copy, creative, audiences, bidding and campaign structures.
- Work with product feeds, Merchant Center, audience data and automation tools to improve account performance.
- Develop and brief Paid Social creative assets, identifying different messaging angles, audience pain points and opportunities to improve campaign performance.
- Take an active role in creative testing, analysing which concepts, formats and messages resonate with different audiences and using these insights to inform future creative briefs and campaign strategy.
Tracking, Measurement & Commercial Performance
- Use GA4, Google Tag Manager and advertising platform data to monitor campaign performance and ensure accurate conversion tracking.
- Investigate tracking and attribution issues, working with clients and internal teams to implement solutions.
- Work with offline conversions, CRM data and first-party data to improve campaign measurement and optimisation.
- Analyse performance beyond platform metrics, considering revenue, profitability, lead quality and wider business objectives.
- Use Excel, Google Sheets and reporting dashboards to analyse data, identify trends and inform campaign decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve campaign efficiency through more advanced bidding strategies, measurement and account optimisation.
Client Management & Team Support
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and understanding their business objectives.
- Lead regular client meetings, presenting results, explaining performance changes and recommending next steps.
- Develop and maintain account strategies, ensuring campaign activity supports both short-term targets and longer-term growth.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand or improve client activity.
- Support and mentor other team members, providing guidance on campaign management, troubleshooting and best practice.
- Review work and share knowledge to help maintain a high standard of delivery across the Paid Media team.
- Contribute to new business proposals and pitches, providing recommendations and campaign insights.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, platform changes and new opportunities across Paid Media.
