Banking and Finance Senior Associate - #2180904

An opportunity has arisen for a talented Finance Senior Associate (4-7 PQE) to join a highly regarded Finance team in Manchester. This role offers exposure to a broad range of high-quality domestic and international finance transactions, with a particular focus on Asset Based Lending (ABL).

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer looking to develop their expertise within a market-leading finance practice while working alongside experienced partners and a strong national team.

The Role

The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of finance transactions, including:

• Advising lenders and borrowers on complex Asset Based Lending transactions.
• Working on leveraged finance, corporate finance, real estate finance and general banking matters.
• Drafting and negotiating key finance documents, including:
• Credit agreements
• Intercreditor agreements
• Security documentation
• Advising on cross-border transactions and working closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.
• Supporting business development initiatives and building client relationships.
• Developing sector-specific expertise within key industries.
• Supervising junior lawyers and taking a lead role on transactions.
• Opportunities for client and internal secondments.

About You

Applications are welcomed from candidates with approximately 4-7 years' PQE, although candidates outside this range with relevant experience will also be considered.

You will ideally:

• Be qualified in England & Wales or another recognised common law jurisdiction.
• Have strong experience in banking and finance transactions.
• Possess prior Asset Based Lending (ABL) experience or a genuine interest in developing a specialist ABL practice.
• Be technically strong with experience drafting and negotiating finance documentation.
• Have experience managing transactions and supervising junior team members.
• Be commercially minded with strong client relationship skills.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.
• Have an interest in business development and networking activities.
• Be capable of managing multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
