An opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic Account Handlers to join a well-established insurance brokerage within its SME team in Manchester. Our client is particularly keen to hear from individuals with little or no previous insurance experience who are eager to learn, develop new skills and build a long-term career within the industry. You'll join a supportive and experienced team where you'll gain valuable exposure to SME insurance, with the opportunity to progress into the wider Commercial Insurance team as your knowledge and confidence grow.

Responsibilities of the SME Account Handler:

• Support the day-to-day management of a portfolio of SME insurance clients.

• Assist with renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business enquiries.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and insurers.

• Respond to client queries in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.

• Work closely with experienced colleagues to develop your knowledge of Commercial Insurance products.

• Assist with preparing quotations, policy documentation and renewal information.

• Ensure client records and policy information are accurate and kept up to date.

• Learn how to identify clients' insurance requirements and provide suitable solutions.

• Deliver excellent customer service and support clients throughout the insurance process.

• Take an active approach to training and development, building the skills required for a successful career in insurance broking.

What we are looking for:

• Previous insurance experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

• A genuine interest in developing a career within the insurance industry.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.

• Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail.

• Confident telephone manner and a professional approach to customer service.

• Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems.

• Previous experience in customer service, administration or a similar office-based role would be advantageous but is not essential.
