Frontend Developer – Manchester / Leeds / Sheffield / Newcastle (Hybrid)


We are looking for a Frontend Developer with strong experience building and testing modern, accessible web applications.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive frontend web applications.
  • Build solutions using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Develop reusable frontend components and templates using technologies such as Nunjucks / Mustache.
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code following TDD and unit-testing practices.
  • Build and maintain automated browser tests using Playwright or Selenium, ideally Playwright with TypeScript.
  • Develop and test services to ensure they meet web accessibility requirements.
  • Work with GDS components and styling where applicable.
  • Support automated build, test and deployment processes using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins or GitHub.
  • Work with containerised applications using Docker.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers and wider delivery teams in Scrum / Kanban environments.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with GDS (Government Digital Service) components and styling
  • Strong Playwright with TypeScript experience
  • Nunjucks and/or Mustache
  • Docker
  • Kafka
