Manchester Area | Social Housing Contracts | Long-Term Opportunity

Our client has secured several long-term contracts within the social housing sector across the Manchester area and is looking to recruit an experienced Painter & Decorator to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable tradesperson seeking stable, long-term work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The Role

Working across both occupied and void properties, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of painting and decorating works to a high standard within residential homes.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working within tenanted properties, maintaining professionalism, excellent customer service, and quality workmanship at all times.

Duties Will Include:

• Internal and external painting and decorating
• Preparation of walls, ceilings, woodwork and surfaces
• Filling, sanding and making good prior to decoration
• Emulsion and gloss painting
• Carrying out repairs and touch-up works
• Working within occupied and void social housing properties
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and cleanliness
• Liaising professionally with tenants and residents

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator
• Previous social housing, responsive repairs, maintenance, or refurbishment experience desirable
• CSCS Skilled Card
• Own tools and equipment
• Own transport
• DBS Certificate or willingness to undertake a DBS check before starting
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Experience working within occupied properties

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am - 4:30pm
