Personal Injury Solicitor (EL/PL)

We are interested in speaking to candidates with strong academics and solid EL/PL experience to join this growing team. Expect a fantastic range of work for an equally impressive list of clients.

Overview

• Title: Associate
• Location: Manchester
• Work pattern: Full-time; Hybrid
• Salary: £45,000 - £60,000
• Experience: Qualified solicitor NQ+. Experience of defendant EL/PL work. Claimant experience will be considered.

Vast range of EL/PL work

You will gain experience across all stages of litigation, including strategy, liability investigations, expert evidence and trial preparation. In particular, you will:

• Manage a caseload of complex EL and PL claims
• Assist on high-value catastrophic injury and large loss matters
• Draft pleadings, reports and instructions to counsel and expert witnesses
• Conduct legal research and advising on liability and quantum issues
• Attend conferences, client meetings and settlement discussions
• Develop relationships with insurer and corporate clients
• Contribute to business development and thought leadership initiatives

Small team handling specialist injury work

The team is small and collegiate in nature and operates as a specialist off-shoot or sub-team of the broader catastrophic injury offering.

Lawyers within this team work directly with Legal Directors and Partners and handle a broad range of serious and life-changing injury cases. Expect technically challenging work and excellent opportunities for career progression.

The range of cases includes:

• Complex Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims
• Catastrophic and life-changing injury matters
• Serious burn injuries
• Assault, abuse and neglect claims
• Civil liability claims arising from terrorist incidents
• False imprisonment and malicious prosecution claims
