Senior Researcher, Global Executive Search (Consumer Markets)

Manchester | Full time | Base salary up to £70,000 plus bonus

Sharp Resources is working with an established global executive search firm to appoint a Senior Researcher to its growing Global Consumer practice in Manchester.

The firm partners with many of the world’s most recognised consumer brands across FMCG and CPG, QSR, Consumer Healthcare, Infrastructure and Retail. Its work covers executive and non-executive board appointments and senior leadership hiring across all business functions.

This role could suit:

• An experienced recruiter looking to move into retained executive search
• Someone with commercial or industry experience who wants to build a long-term career in executive search and leadership advisory

The role

• Mapping global consumer markets, competitors and leadership structures
• Identifying and engaging senior leadership talent across international markets
• Running detailed candidate outreach and assessment conversations
• Supporting retained search delivery from briefing through to appointment
• Managing candidate and client processes to a high professional standard
• Producing market insight and talent intelligence for clients and internal stakeholders
• Building long-term relationships with senior executives and industry leaders
• Contributing insight on market trends and potential client opportunities

The level of responsibility will reflect your background. Experienced recruiters can take ownership of search delivery and candidate engagement quickly, and those moving from industry will receive training and support to build their capability in executive search.

• Recruitment experience, ideally within professional services, recruitment or executive search, or commercial or industry experience with a strong interest in executive search
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
• Commercial curiosity and an interest in how businesses operate and grow
• High levels of organisation, accountability and attention to detail
• A collaborative and proactive approach
