An excellent opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Plumber to join a well-established company.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £21 per hour, paid door to door

Location: Greater Manchester, with travel to customer sites across the North

The Company’s approach is simple: fix it fast, fix it right, and fix the price. They provide reliable repairs and maintenance for homeowners, landlords and businesses, combining quality workmanship with friendly, straightforward service.

They are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Plumber who can confidently handle plumbing repairs, hot water systems and planned maintenance, alongside other general maintenance tasks. You’ll take ownership of jobs, keep customers informed and leave every property clean and tidy.

You’ll carry out reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) across domestic and commercial properties. Plumbing will be your main trade, supported by practical skills in areas such as joinery, tiling, decorating and general repairs.

You must be confident working on hot water cylinders, including diagnosing faults, servicing and repairing systems within your qualifications and competence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair leaks, faulty taps, toilets, showers, wastes and other plumbing defects.
  • Install and replace sanitaryware, sinks, taps, pipework and associated fittings.
  • Inspect, service, diagnose faults and carry out repairs on vented and unvented hot water cylinders, subject to appropriate qualifications.
  • Identify faults with cylinder components, including thermostats, immersion heaters, valves and expansion vessels, and undertake work within your competence and authorisation.
  • Complete plumbing PPMs, including hot water cylinder servicing, system inspections and operational checks.
  • Carry out Legionella monitoring and associated water hygiene tasks, including temperature testing, outlet flushing, showerhead cleaning and descaling, and water sampling where required and appropriately trained.
  • Maintain accurate servicing, temperature monitoring and water hygiene records, reporting defects and required remedial works.
  • Investigate water supply and drainage issues and carry out suitable repairs.
  • Complete minor bathroom and kitchen repairs, including silicone sealing and making good.
  • Undertake general maintenance tasks within your competence, including basic joinery, tiling, patch repairs and decorating.
  • Assess the work required, identify suitable materials and flag additional works to the office.
  • Protect customers’ properties and maintain a clean, safe working area.
  • Complete clear job notes, photographs, material records and updates using our job management system.
  • Follow risk assessments, safe working procedures and company standards.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues and suppliers

  • Experience completing plumbing PPMs, including cylinder servicing.
  • Experience in Legionella monitoring and water hygiene checks, with appropriate training for the tasks undertaken.
