Why join us?

Join DWF as a Pricing Manager within our Insurance Services division, where you will play an important role in shaping commercially robust pricing strategies and supporting sustainable growth.

Working in partnership with senior leaders, Partners and Business Development teams, you'll provide the commercial insight that supports strategic growth, major client opportunities and complex tenders. Using financial modelling, profitability analysis and market awareness, you'll help drive pricing decisions that deliver value for clients while supporting sustainable business performance.

This is an opportunity to influence high-profile commercial decisions, work with a broad range of stakeholders and make a tangible impact on the firm's growth strategy. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Development, you'll help embed best practice pricing approaches and strengthen commercial capability across the Insurance Services division.

We are flexible on location, with the role available from any of our UK offices and supported by hybrid working/remote working where appropriate.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the development of pricing proposals and financial models for complex tenders, panel appointments and strategic client opportunities.
  2. Manage the end-to-end pricing process, ensuring submissions are accurate, commercially robust and delivered on time.
  3. Analyse profitability, historic performance, workload and operational data to inform pricing recommendations and identify opportunities to improve margins.
  4. Partner with senior stakeholders, Partners and Business Development teams to develop pricing solutions that balance client requirements with commercial objectives.
  5. Structure and evaluate a range of fee arrangements, including hourly rates, fixed fees, retainers and volume-based pricing.
  6. Produce scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis and profitability forecasts to support commercial decision-making.
  7. Act as a trusted pricing advisor, presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders and monitoring outcomes to continually improve pricing strategy and performance.

What will help you succeed in this role?

  1. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance client requirements with profitability objectives.
  2. Experience in pricing, commercial finance, financial analysis or profitability, ideally within a professional services environment.
  3. Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  4. Experience supporting bids, tenders, panel appointments or client proposals.
  5. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and advise senior stakeholders.
  6. Ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear, practical and commercially focused recommendations for non-financial audiences.
  7. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Advanced Excel skills, including experience building flexible financial models using data from multiple sources.
