Primary Eyecare Services is the largest not-for-profit provider of NHS primary and community eye care services in England, supporting commissioners and healthcare partners through a network of over 2,400 optometry practices.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Digital Director, you will manage a team and lead the development of Nexia, our new clinical and operational platform. Nexia is our new digital platform that will transform how we deliver clinical services, bringing referrals, patient pathways, administration, finance and reporting together in one place.It sits at the heart of our digital strategy and is being built by our engineering partner alongside our own in-house developers.

You will own the vision, roadmap and backlog, and be the day-to-day product decision maker for a blended delivery team made up of our engineering partner and our own in-house developers. You’ll be joining at a pivotal point, as Nexia moves from early build towards go-live and rollout.

What we are looking for

We are seeking an accomplished Product Owner with proven success delivering complex digital products from concept to production, working effectively with external development partners and agile delivery teams. 

You will have experience in writing high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria, leading and developing people, and balancing business needs with technical considerations across APIs, integrations, cloud platforms and data. In addition to excellent stakeholder management and communications skills.
