We’re looking for a Service Delivery Executive to join us in our Manchester office, functioning as an end-to-end Import Operator. In this hands-on, high-impact role, you will be pivotal in managing import shipments from origin through to final delivery.

You will join a well-established, dynamic operational team as a core touchpoint for client management, operational execution, exception handling, and customs entry support across Air, Ocean, and Road imports.

Your Role:

• Managing the full lifecycle of import shipments from booking through to final arrival and delivery, primarily focusing on Air and Ocean imports.
• Preparing, checking, and submitting accurate customs import entries (CDS, Destin8, CNS) while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
• Acting as a main point of contact for clients, delivering proactive milestone tracking, clear operational updates, and fast issue resolution.
• Confidently identifying, navigating, and resolving supply chain disruptions and delays to maintain high service levels.
• Managing job costing, shipment profitability, and accurate invoicing/billing to protect operational margins.
• Partnering and negotiating with overseas offices, shipping lines, airlines, and hauliers to streamline operations and meet client KPIs.

What You'll Need:

Essential

• Proven freight forwarding background with a strong focus on import operations.
• Practical, hands-on experience managing the end-to-end import lifecycle (ideally gained within a small-to-medium independent or mid-sized freight forwarder).
• Solid understanding of UK customs clearance procedures and hands-on experience submitting import entries using software such as CDS, Destin8, or CNS.
• Multimodal forwarding knowledge across Air, Ocean, and Road imports (with a strong grounding in Air and/or Ocean freight).
• Proactive communication style with high customer-service standards.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, commercial awareness, and attention to detail under fast-paced operational conditions.

Desirable

• Hands-on experience working with CargoWise software.
