Spinningfields, Manchester. £35,000 basic, uncapped commission.

Why the phone is ringing

The UK copper phone network switches off in January 2027. Every business still running lines over it has to move before then, and most have not started. A growing business telecoms provider is opening a new sales floor in Manchester to go after it.

You will not be inventing a problem. You are calling businesses with a deadline they cannot dodge.

The job

Outbound. All day. You find the decision maker, get past whoever is in the way, qualify properly and book the meeting. Field BDMs attend and close. Two qualified appointments a day is the number.

What the floor is actually like

Busy, loud and competitive. Music on. Heavy talk time targets. Your number is on the board and everyone can see it. Some people love that and some people hate it, so be honest with yourself before you apply.

Five days a week in the office at Cubo, Spinningfields. 1pm finish every Friday when you hit your minimum.

What we need from you

Your numbers. Not “exceeded target”, your actual numbers:

• Dials and decision maker conversations per day
• Appointments booked per week
• Deals, average deal value, conversion rate
• The target you were given and what you delivered against it

Bring them to the first conversation and make sure they add up. We will ask, and we will ask again.

You

• Telecoms, connectivity, IT, energy or utilities phone sales is ideal, because the conversation and the sales cycle will already be familiar
• Strong B2B outbound from another sector works too, as long as the track record stands up
• High volume outbound, not account management, not inbound
• Comfortable talking to owners, FDs and IT managers
• CRM discipline, because an appointment nobody logged did not happen
• Thick skinned and competitive

The package

£35,000 basic. Uncapped commission. 1pm Friday finishes. A new floor being built from scratch, so the people who perform early get first look at the field roles.
