We are looking for a Product Engineer – Global Consumer Growth & AI to join our team in London or Manchester and help shape the future of global student living.

You’ll combine hands-on full-stack development with product judgment to create experiences users find intuitive, useful, and worth returning to.

You’ll own features from understanding user needs and shaping solutions through implementation, launch, and iteration.

Responsibilities

• Understand user problems through conversations, feedback, and usage data.
• Turn ideas into clear user flows, practical requirements, and focused MVPs.
• Build end-to-end features across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
• Create smooth consumer experiences, with attention to onboarding, interaction details, responsiveness, and performance.
• Prioritize improvements based on user value, business impact, and engineering effort.
• Track how features affect activation, engagement, retention, and conversion.
• Iterate after launch while maintaining code quality and reliability.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on software development experience, with the ability to ship features across the full stack.
• Demonstrated product ownership — you’ve helped decide what to build, why it matters, and how to measure success.
• Experience building consumer-facing web or mobile products.
• Proficiency in a modern frontend framework and at least one backend language or framework.
• Solid understanding of databases, API design, testing, and deployment.
• Strong product sense and attention to UX, visual details, and usability.
• Ability to balance delivery speed, technical quality, and user needs.
• Clear communication and the ability to move work forward independently.

Nice to Have

• Experience taking a consumer product from idea to launch.
• Experience improving onboarding, retention, or conversion through experiments.
• Familiarity with product analytics, user research, and A/B testing.
• Experience building AI-powered consumer features.
• A personal product or side project with real users.
