Role Description The Design Project Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Manchester. This role is responsible for managing the design and delivery of bespoke commercial kitchen and architectural fabrication projects from concept through completion. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating design activities, developing project plans, managing budgets and timelines, and overseeing communication between clients, designers, fabricators, and installers. The Design Project Manager will review technical drawings, ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards, and proactively resolve design and site issues. The role also involves monitoring project progress, preparing status reports, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and project workflows.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Design Management skills, including overseeing bespoke design processes and reviewing technical drawings.
• Candidates should possess solid Project Management and Project Planning skills to coordinate resources, schedules, and deliverables.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to liaise with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
• Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to manage project costs, track expenditures, and support financial reporting.
• Relevant experience in commercial kitchen design, fabrication, construction, or architectural metalwork is beneficial.
• Proficiency in CAD or similar design software, and familiarity with industry standards and health and safety regulations, is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are preferred.
• A relevant qualification in engineering, design, construction management, or a related field is desirable.
