We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer to help build and evolve a modern cloud data platform, delivering reliable, scalable and high-quality data solutions across a growing organisation.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges, building production-ready pipelines and working with modern Microsoft Azure technologies to turn raw data into trusted, business-ready information.

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building and optimising data pipelines that underpin reporting, analytics and evidence-based decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

  • Improving pipeline performance, reliability and cost.
  • Making sure data is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.
  • Using Git and CI/CD to manage and deploy changes.
  • Working with BI, analytics and business teams to deliver useful datasets.
  • Supporting data quality, documentation and governance.

About you:

  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Strong SQL skills and a good understanding of data modelling principles.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and PySpark.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services and modern data platform architectures.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD and version control within an engineering environment.
  • An understanding of data quality, testing, monitoring and production support.
  • Comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with a strong emphasis on engineering quality and continuous improvement.

Why This Role?

  • Work with modern cloud data technologies across a growing data platform.
  • Build scalable, production-ready solutions that support real business decisions.
  • Take ownership of data engineering challenges from development through to deployment.
  • Collaborate with BI, analytics, governance and data product teams.
  • Help improve engineering standards, data quality and platform reliability.
  • Make a tangible impact by enabling better insights and more effective decision-making

If you're a Data Engineer who enjoys building reliable pipelines, working with Azure and Databricks, and creating data solutions that people can genuinely trust and use, we'd love to hear from you.
