The MRJ team are delighted to bring a very exciting Director of Product opportunity to market for a high-growth Series A funded business, who are recognised as a leader within Commerce Tech and scaling at serious pace globally.

Working closely with the CEO/Founder and COO, you’ll sit at the intersection of Product, Technology, and AI innovation, owning the vision, shaping the roadmap, and leading a next-generation, AI-native engineering model.

This isn’t a traditional leadership role. You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, guiding small, highly autonomous teams to build, launch, and scale intelligent products used by millions across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and evolve the product vision & roadmap, aligned to growth, revenue, and customer outcomes
• Lead innovation across B2C Web & Mobile apps and B2B SaaS platforms, with a strong focus on AI and automation
• Build and scale AI-powered products from zero to one including rapid prototyping, MVP development, and iteration
• Work hands-on with LLMs like Claude and GPT to unlock new product capabilities
• Design and implement AI-enhanced engineering workflows to accelerate delivery
• Translate market insight, customer needs, and business strategy into clear, actionable priorities
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure product delivery drives ARR growth and commercial performance
• Provide technical leadership, guiding architecture and ensuring scalability, security, and resilience
• Lead and grow a high-performing, agile technology team, fostering a culture of pace, quality, and continuous improvement
• Drive end-to-end execution, from discovery and validation through to release and iteration
• Support expansion through M&A, shaping platform strategy, integrations, and product synergies

Person requirements:

This role is very much aligned to a visionary Product Innovator, defining & leading the product!!

• Proven experience leading Product in start up / high growth B2C environments
• Strong product leadership driving roadmap ownership, prioritisation, and customer-centric delivery
• Experience and passion for embedding AI into products and workflows, identifying high-impact use cases
• An experimentation mindset, constantly testing, learning, and iterating to validate ideas and drive measurable impact
• Technical credibility, you can shape architecture and guide engineering, even if you’re not hands-on coding daily
• A commercial mindset, you understand how product decisions drive revenue, retention, and growth
• Confident stakeholder leadership, balancing speed, quality, and competing priorities
• High energy, curiosity, and creativity, you bring momentum and thrive in fast-moving environments
