Temporary Accounts Payable Team Leader - #2165243

We are looking for a Temporary Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our Client in their established and busy Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced purchase ledger professional to oversee the day-to-day accounts payable function, support the wider team and ensure invoices and payments are processed efficiently.

• Overseeing the day-to-day accounts payable function
• Supervising and supporting the accounts payable team
• Processing and overseeing high volumes of supplier invoices
• Ensuring invoices are accurately coded, authorised and processed
• Managing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving outstanding queries
• Overseeing payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid within agreed terms
• Investigating invoice discrepancies and payment issues
• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
• Monitoring workloads and ensuring deadlines are met
• Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records and financial controls
• Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting
• Identifying and resolving any backlogs within the department

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable Team Leader, Purchase Ledger Supervisor or similar role
• Strong knowledge of purchase ledger processes and supplier reconciliations
• Experience managing, supervising or supporting a finance team
• Confident handling high volumes of invoices and payment runs
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
• Available to commit to a temporary assignment
