Project Manager: Cyber Security | Contract | Remote
Location: Remote first (monthly travel to Manchester)
Day Rate: ~£400/day (inside IR35)
Length: ~4-6months
Sector: Cyber Security | IT Infrastructure | Data Governance | Insurance
Overview
We’re partnering with a Leading Insurance brand in the middle of a technology integration programme. They need a Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of Cyber Security, IT Infrastructure and Data Governance projects within their Technology programme. The role is about pace and accountability: getting projects moving, keeping teams to their commitments, and landing outcomes before financial year end.
Why this role matters
You’ll sit within a Technology programme led by a Programme Lead, with direct visibility to the C Suite. The technical expertise already exists in the team; what’s missing is drive. This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who can take direction, push through internal process blockers, and hold people to account to get things done.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver multiple Cyber Security projects end to end, from planning through to closure
- Run supporting workstreams across IT Infrastructure and Data Governance / Data Management
- Drive accountability across technical teams, chase actions, escalate blockers and keep delivery on track
- Challenge and improve internal processes that are slowing delivery
- Manage RAID logs, governance, status reporting and project tracking
- Work closely with the Programme Lead, taking direction and aligning to wider programme priorities
- Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders across the integration programme
Who we’re looking for
- Proven PM experience delivering Cyber Security and/or IT Infrastructure projects
- Exposure to Data Governance or Data Management projects is a strong plus
- Confident holding technical teams to account, with the resilience to push delivery forward when it meets resistance
- Comfortable taking direction from a Programme Lead and working within an established programme structure
- Strong planning, RAID/governance and stakeholder management skills, including reporting to senior security leadership
- Proactive, tenacious and pragmatic, someone who gets stuff done
Apply if you’re available for a contract, have solid experience delivering Cyber and IT projects, and can move quickly. We’d love to hear from you.
