Multi-Trades Operative - #2163895

We are currently partnering with a leading housing provider based in Manchester, who are recruiting for a Multi-Trade Operative to join their team on a permanent basis.

Our client is proud to be recognised as a national housing provider with a key focus on transforming the lives of those who are escaping Domestic Violence.

This is a full-time position with a salary of £35,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Carrying out general property repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment
• Conducting property inspections and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained
• Identifying maintenance issues and completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting any issues requiring specialist attention
• Communicating professionally with residents and coordinating external contractors where necessary
• Working sensitively and respectfully within a domestic violence charity environment, maintaining confidentiality and awareness of residents' needs

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing
• Experience working with customers within housing
• Experience dealing with domestic repairs

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Experience carrying out general property repairs and maintenance within residential properties
• Basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating
• Ability to identify maintenance issues and undertake effective remedial works
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work sensitively and professionally with vulnerable residents

Working hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday – Friday, 09:00am-17:30pm
