Behaviour Mentor - Primary School
Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunities | Aspire People
Aspire People are recruiting Behaviour Mentors to support pupils across primary school settings.
We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships with children and provide consistent support to pupils who may experience behavioural, emotional or social difficulties.
The Role:
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support
* Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
* Helping pupils develop positive relationships and social skills
* Supporting emotional regulation and coping strategies
* Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement with learning
* Helping pupils manage challenging situations
* Supporting transitions and less structured parts of the school day
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
* Recording and feeding back on pupil behaviour and progress
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience supporting children or young people
* Experience with behaviour, SEMH, pastoral support or SEND is desirable
* Confident managing challenging behaviour
* Calm, patient and consistent approach
* Strong relationship-building skills
* Good understanding of safeguarding
* Able to remain positive and professional in difficult situations
* Passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
