Robert Walters
Join a growing and forward-thinking organisation as a Billing Supervisor on a six-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced billing professional to take a lead role within a busy finance function, overseeing billing operations and supporting a high-performing team. The role offers excellent flexibility, with hybrid working requiring just one day per week in the office and the remainder working from home.
You will be joining an established organisation that is looking for an experienced Billing Supervisor to oversee its day-to-day billing operations. This is a key role within the finance team, providing the opportunity to lead and support a team of billing professionals while working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to ensure billing is accurate, timely and efficient.
This is a full-time, six-month temporary position, with only one day per week required in the office. Key responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day billing activity across a portfolio of clients, monitoring performance against agreed targets and KPIs, reviewing billing quality, resolving complex billing queries and disputes, and ensuring invoices are issued accurately and on time. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve issues affecting billing, maintain accurate client and contract information, produce billing performance reports, and ensure processes are followed in line with internal controls and procedures.
The role will also have a strong focus on continuous improvement. You will be expected to identify recurring billing issues, investigate root causes and implement improvements to billing processes and controls. You will also provide coaching, guidance and support to Billing Specialists and Senior Billing Specialists, helping to maintain a high level of performance and service across the team.
To be considered, you must have proven experience within billing, accounts receivable or Order-to-Cash, ideally with previous experience supervising or leading a billing team. Experience working within a shared services or high-volume finance environment would be highly advantageous. You will need strong knowledge of billing processes, invoice management and resolving complex billing queries, alongside excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
This position would suit an experienced billing professional who is confident leading a team, comfortable dealing with complex issues and enjoys finding ways to improve processes. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with a proactive and collaborative approach.
The role offers a highly flexible hybrid working arrangement, with just one day per week required in the office and the remaining four days worked from home. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a six-month contract within a supportive finance environment, offering both responsibility and flexibility.
