About Eye Drop
Eye Drop is a growing domiciliary optical company providing NHS-funded eye care to care homes and housebound patients across England.
We provide:
- Eye examinations in care homes and patients’ own homes
- Personalised eye care based around each patient’s needs
- Spectacle dispensing, fitting and aftercare
- Care home training and support to help staff recognise and manage residents’ eye care needs
- A dedicated point of contact for care home managers and staff
- Ongoing support, including help with appointments, prescriptions, spectacles and queries
- Flexible, reliable visits that work around the needs of care homes and their residents
- NHS-funded eye care delivered directly to the people who need it
We’re looking for someone to join our team as we continue to grow.
The Role
We’re looking for a friendly and confident Business Development Representative to help us build relationships with care organisations across England.
You’ll be speaking to care home managers and their teams, introducing them to Eye Drop, arranging meetings and helping new homes get set up with our service.
You don’t need years of sales experience. If you’re good with people, confident speaking to others and willing to learn, we’d like to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
- Contacting care groups/homes and introducing them to Eye Drop
- Visiting care homes and meeting managers and senior staff
- Arranging and attending meetings
- Explaining our service and answering questions
- Following up with potential new clients
- Helping new care homes get started with Eye Drop
- Keeping in touch with existing homes
- Keeping track of leads, conversations and follow-ups
- Working closely with the team as we continue to grow
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and confident
- Comfortable speaking to people on the phone and face to face
- Organised and able to manage their own time
- Self-motivated and willing to get out and meet people
- Persistent, but not pushy
- Professional and reliable
- Genuinely interested in healthcare and helping people
Previous experience in sales, business development, customer service, care, healthcare or optics would be useful, but it isn’t essential.
The right attitude is more important to us than having a perfect CV.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- Comfortable travelling across the North West
Training & Progression
You’ll get full training when you join and support from the team as you learn the role.
As Eye Drop continues to grow, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and progress into more senior business development and management roles.
We want someone who can grow with the company.
What we offer
- Competitive pay, plus bonuses
- Fuel and travel expenses paid
- Hybrid and field-based working
- Full training and ongoing support
- Clear opportunities for progression
- A friendly, supportive team
- The chance to be part of a growing healthcare company
- Work that genuinely makes a difference to people’s lives
