B2B Growth Marketing Manager – FinTech - #2157443
Elvis Eckardt Recruitment
Role: B2B Growth Marketing Manager – FinTech
Location: Manchester – office-led, full-time onsite
Salary: £50,000 + Share Options
Industry: B2B Fintech / Financial Services Technology
Role type: Full-time, Permanent
The Company: We’re recruiting for a growing B2B fintech business operating within the UK financial services market.
This is a hands-on marketing role for someone who wants real ownership and direct accountability for growth.
You won’t inherit a marketing team or spend your time managing agencies. There are no direct reports. You’ll work closely with leadership and Sales, decide what marketing should be doing and then personally make it happen.
The focus is relatively low-volume, high-value B2B marketing. Winning engagement from 20 relevant companies can matter considerably more than reaching 200,000 people.
What you’ll do:
Your job is ultimately to help create growth.
That means understanding the customers the business wants to win, finding intelligent ways of getting in front of them and turning marketing activity into conversations, opportunities and pipeline.
You’ll own Activity across:
- B2B demand generation and campaign execution
- Account-based marketing and target-account engagement
- Positioning and messaging
- LinkedIn, email and digital campaigns
- Content and thought leadership
- Website and landing pages
- Customer stories, case studies and testimonials
- Sales collateral and sales enablement
- Events, partnerships and communities
- Campaign analytics and measurement
- AI, automation and new marketing workflows
One morning you might be researching target accounts and building an ABM campaign. That afternoon you could be writing an email sequence, improving a landing page or working with Sales to understand why a proposition isn’t landing.
The person we’re looking for
Relevant B2B marketing experience matters, ideally within fintech, SaaS, financial services technology or another complex B2B environment.
But experience alone isn’t enough.
We’re looking for someone with strong personal drive and ownership. Someone who creates momentum, keeps pushing when things become difficult and takes responsibility for the outcome.
You should be comfortable being given a commercial objective rather than a detailed brief.
We’d particularly like to see evidence that you have personally:
- Built and executed B2B campaigns
- Generated demand or contributed to pipeline
- Worked with named accounts or ABM programmes
- Partnered closely with Sales
- Owned measurable commercial targets
- Taken campaigns from idea through to execution
- Used CRM, data and automation effectively
- Turned complex products into simple propositions
- Changed direction when something wasn’t working
- Made something happen without waiting for somebody else to drive it
Start-up or scale-up experience would be useful, but it isn’t essential.
AI matters here
We’re interested in marketers who see AI as more than a copywriting tool.
How can it improve account research? Personalisation? Market analysis? Campaign workflows? CRM administration? Reporting?
The goal is not to replace judgement. It is to help one strong marketer achieve far more.
This probably isn’t the role for you if…
Your experience is predominantly consumer marketing, social audience growth or brand activity without commercial accountability.
It may also be difficult if you prefer managing agencies rather than executing, need detailed briefs before starting, rely on large specialist teams or prefer strategy considerably more than doing the work yourself.
This is also not a Head of Marketing role disguised as a £50k Marketing Manager position.
There is no department to manage.
The opportunity is to be the person building, testing, improving and owning marketing.
What success looks like
Within your first few months, you should understand the product, customers and market well enough to independently drive activity.
From there, success should be visible through:
- Engagement from priority accounts
- Meaningful B2B conversations generated
- Marketing-influenced opportunities and pipeline
- Stronger Sales and Marketing alignment
- Clearer positioning and messaging
- Better use of AI and automation
- Evidence-led decisions and continuous improvement
Ultimately, leadership should feel that marketing is genuinely owned.
Interview process
- Application and initial screening
- Short practical marketing exercise (30 minutes)
- 20-minute conversation with Nivo
- Final interview in Manchester
Why consider it?
Because for the right person, the lack of layers is the opportunity.
You’ll have direct access to leadership, freedom to test ideas and clear visibility of whether your work is actually moving the business forward.
The package is £50,000 plus share options.
If you’re currently thinking, “I could achieve much more if somebody would just let me get on with it,” this may be exactly the kind of role you’re looking for.
