We are currently working with a highly respected, award-winning design practice that is looking to strengthen its Manchester studio with an experienced Architectural Technician.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused individual to join an established and collaborative team working on a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects across sectors including Residential, Education, Transport, Workplace, Sport, Heritage, Culture, Leisure and Healthcare.

The Role

As an Architectural Technician, you will become an integral part of multidisciplinary project teams, supporting the technical design and delivery of a range of exciting projects.

You will be involved in developing detailed design information, producing high-quality technical drawings and documentation, and helping to ensure projects are delivered to a consistently high technical standard.

The role will provide the opportunity to:

• Work on a diverse portfolio of innovative, high-profile projects across multiple sectors.
• Develop detailed technical information from design development through to construction.
• Produce accurate, coordinated drawings and technical documentation.
• Work closely with Architects, Engineers, Designers, Contractors and other members of multidisciplinary teams.
• Apply your knowledge of construction technology, regulations and technical standards to live projects.
• Develop your Revit and digital design skills within an established BIM environment.
• Contribute to a collaborative studio environment where technical knowledge and ideas are actively shared.
• Learn from experienced Architects and Technologists while developing your own technical expertise.
• Build experience across different sectors and project types, providing excellent long-term career development opportunities.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically capable Architectural Technician with experience of working on live projects and a genuine interest in building design and construction.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience working as an Architectural Technician / Technologist within an architectural practice or multidisciplinary design environment.
• Strong technical and construction knowledge.
• Experience contributing to projects through the design and technical delivery stages.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, legislation, Health & Safety and technical standards.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural software.
• Experience producing clear, accurate and well-coordinated technical information.
• Experience using NBS Chorus would be advantageous.
• The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach and enthusiasm for developing your technical knowledge.

CIAT membership, or a willingness to work towards Chartered status, would be advantageous but is not essential.
