A manufacturer of personal care and household products is hiring for a new addition to their expanding team.

With development chemistry experience from the personal care, cosmetic or homecare industry, you will join a well established and stable technical team with a positive working culture.

This role will suit a junior or a senior chemist, depending on experience.

What you will do:

• Research & development of new and existing Personal Care and Household products based on customer requirements, new technologies in both chemicals and substrate, regulations such as the Biocidal products regulation and the Cosmetics Regulation and market trends.
• To create robust innovative formulations that meet the brief / innovative trend/ commercial expectations in an agreed and timely manner.
• Build relationships with ingredient suppliers and other external collaborators.
• Carrying out performance/efficacy product testing, including external claim support testing.
• Supporting commercial with the costs and customer approvals.

What you will need:

• At least some post graduation or industrial year experience within personal care or homecare formulation chemistry
• A degree in chemistry or a relevant field would be preferable but is not essential.
• Good organisational skills and time management.
• Have good interpersonal skills to build good working relationships within the laboratory team and with other personnel within the company.
