A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Social Value Consultant in one of their Northern offices.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience across social value, sustainability, CSR or community engagement to take ownership of social value delivery across a varied portfolio of projects.

You'll work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, clients and community partners to turn social value commitments into practical initiatives that deliver measurable, lasting benefits. The role will cover projects connected to offices across Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds, providing the opportunity to build a strong network across the North.

• Manage a portfolio of social value programmes across a range of projects and sectors.
• Monitor programme performance, costs, risks and progress against agreed targets.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen social value within projects and client work.
• Develop and deliver initiatives that create positive economic, social and environmental outcomes.
• Build relationships with clients, community groups, schools, charities, social enterprises and local businesses.
• Collect, analyse and report social value data and outcomes.
• Support project and bid teams with social value strategies and community plans.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, visits, events and community programmes.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop project-specific initiatives.
• Produce case studies, communications and thought leadership content showcasing social value activity.
• Help ensure projects deliver a meaningful and lasting legacy within the communities where they operate.

You'll be passionate about social value and confident working with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll understand how to take social value commitments from strategy through to delivery, while being comfortable managing data, projects and relationships.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience delivering social value, community engagement, CSR or sustainability initiatives.
• Experience in a role such as Social Value Manager, Social Value Coordinator, Social Value Officer, Section 106 Officer or a similar position.
• Experience within sectors such as construction, professional services, consultancy, government, sustainability, training or skills development.
• Strong project management and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
• The confidence to engage with and influence clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
