What will you be doing?

As a Sensory Support Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils and the wider school team to provide personalised support throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.

• Helping pupils manage sensory challenges and feel comfortable within the school environment.

• Supporting pupils to develop independence, confidence and emotional regulation.

• Using sensory strategies and activities to help pupils engage with learning.

• Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

• Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.

• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals.

• Helping create a calm, safe and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive.

• Encouraging pupils to participate in activities and celebrate their achievements.
